High On Their Own Supply: A Big Mistake

It’s comical to watch Republicans adopt the idea that the "Save America Act" is the key for them to win the next election. As usual, they are so out of touch with ordinary people that they follow the misguided notions of extremists and embrace some of the most ridiculous proposals one can imagine, all to their own detriment. Their map is not the same as the territory. Are they high on their own supply? If the Save America Act is adopted, it is guaranteed that there will be surprising results, especially in the next primary election. It will be hilarious. Not only this, Republicans would be required to eliminate the filibuster to adopt this desperate and unwise move.
The misinformed are remiss to note that many people of color, especially Black people, often hold on to their birth certificates. This is one of their most prized possessions. Most of them understand the importance of retaining this document. Additionally, many women, when they marry, desire to retain their maiden names and make them part of their identity to honor their birth names—Ketanji Brown Jackson, for example.
Furthermore, most young people can access their birth certificates more easily than older people because a birth certificate is required for obtaining driver’s licenses, Social Security cards, and employment. Older people, in many cases, have lost their birth certificates and see no reason to obtain new ones, except for the examples listed above.
Think about it...
